In this post, I’m sharing the full crochet pattern for the Wintertide Scarf, perfect for both beginners and experienced crocheters. Its textured stitches create a beautifully rich design, while the length and width provide ultimate warmth and comfort. Materials

Crochet hook size US H8 / 5mm

14 oz Worsted weight (size 4 medium) yarn in color of choice - I used Yarn Bee Must Be Merino Aran White from Hobby Lobby 

Scissors

Yarn needle


Stitch Abbreviations

Ch - chain

St - stitch

Sts - stitches

Sc - single crochet

Dc - double crochet

Fpdc - front post double crochet


Pattern Instructions

Ch 26 loosely

Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from the hook and in the next 4 chains, *dc in the next 2 chains, sc in the next, dc in the next 2, sc in the next 5*, repeat from * to * one more time. Ch 1, turn. (25 sts)

Row 2: Sc in each st across. Ch 1, turn. (25 sc)

Row: 3: Sc in the first 5 sc, *fpdc around the posts of the next 2 dc from 2 rows below, sk the next 2 sc from the previous row, sc in the next sc, fpdc around the posts of the next 2 dc from 2 rows below, sk the next 2 sc from the previous row, sc in the next 5 sc*, repeat from * to * one more time. (reference images above for fpdc)

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you reach desired length. 


Edging

With RS facing, attach yarn in any corner stitch on the scarf and ch 1. 3 sc in same st (corner made). Sc evenly around the edges of the scarf putting 3 sc in each corner. Join with a sl st to the first sc. Finish off and weave in ends. 


Fringe

Cut 10” strands and put two to three strands together, fold in half and insert the loop into desired stitch along the bottom edge halfway. Then take the strands and insert them through the loop then pull tight to secure.
